Regional centre of competence in Sisak

The Regional Center of Competence in the sector of electrical engineering and computer science of the Technical School Sisak was established. Within the Center, there is a Practicum for Space Technology in which students will acquire competencies in the development, testing and launch of satellites. At the founding meeting on December 4, 2020 of the working group for space technologies, the director of TŠ Sisak prof. Davor Malović gave a detailed overview of the work and financial support to the Regional Center. These are members of the working group

Cooperation agreement signed between the Croatian Association of Technical Culture and Adriatic Aerospace Association

Cooperation agreement between the organizations Croatian Association of Technical Culture (HZTK) and our Adriatic Aerospace Association (A3) was solemnly signed on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Ruđer Bošković Institute.

HZTK is the umbrella organization of technical culture in the Republic of Croatia, most deserving for encouraging, developing and maintaining technical culture in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia, and with this Agreement A3 includes the aerospace part of technical culture in the national education, and we are convinced that this agreement is important for HZTK, A3, but also for the entire Croatian public, especially the education sector.

The agreement was signed on behalf of HZTK, President Ph.D. Damir Tomić and Secretary Zdenka Terek and on behalf of A3, President Ph.D. Slobodan Danko Bosanac.

Special thanks to the director of the Institute, Ph.D. David Matthew Smith for the hospitality and support for future cooperation between the national technical culture and the aerospace sector in Croatia.

The aim of this Agreement is to establish a framework for cooperation between HZTK and A3, in order to develop joint programs, initiatives, projects and activities within the field of education in technical sciences with an emphasis on space technology. HZTK cooperation with A3 is of exceptional importance for both organizations, as a condition for the development of the Croatian space program and inclusion in the international space community. Cooperation is key to creating future partnerships, organizing workshops, lectures, encouraging work on projects among young people through the participation of experts, as well as developing a network with information in the field of space innovation.

Meeting with representatives of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia

On Monday, November 16, 2020 at the invitation of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Zoran Milanović, we held a working visit and a meeting with the advisor to the President of the Republic for education, Mrs. Jadranka Živković. Our Adriatic Aerospace Association was represented by President Slobodan Danko Bosanac, Board Member Silvio Papić, colleagues Ida Srdić and Jasenka Duvnjak, Stevče Arsoski and Secretary General Danko Kočiš.

The introductory speech was given by President Bosanac in which he presented the work and activities of our organization so far and the importance that A3 represents for the Republic of Croatia, especially for the future of education, science and economy. Colleague Stevče Arsoski instructed the Office of the President in our efforts in the field of primary and secondary education, the work of space sections at technical schools and efforts to bring space activities closer to our students. Colleague Silvio Papić emphasized the specifics of our projects in higher education, and what the Republic of Croatia gets by creating such engineers and scientists in the field of space technologies. Colleague Srdić connected the field of education with the economy and in which direction to build the future of the Croatian space industry. Secretary Kočiš presented all the positive practice of popularizing space activities in the fields of education, science and economy through popular activities marking World Space Week and the work of our colleagues in the Space Generation Advisory Council. In the end, President Bosanac summarized all the above and asked the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia to support our further work by accepting sponsorship of our most important activities, organizing the Brijuni Conference, other conferences on space topics, as well as supporting the project of the first Croatian satellite Perun I and World Space Week in Croatia.

Advisor to the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ms. Žarković listened with great interest to the presentations of our members, which was reflected in a large number of questions for our members who represented our organization, for which we more than professionally worked and concluded the meeting to the mutual satisfaction of both the Office of the President and our A3. We will regularly inform the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia about future national activities at their request and we hope that we will have excellent cooperation in promoting education, science and the economy through space activities in the territory of our Republic of Croatia.

(Hrvatski) ISU izvješće svemirskog programa RH

At the International Space University (ISU), a detailed analysis of the position of the Republic of Croatia on the issue of the space program was made. The document was compiled by students under the direction of prof. Gongling Sun within the ISU International Relations Department. ISU has close ties with the most important space agencies, ESA is one of the main sponsors, and this document is important as an independent insight into the state and possible development of the space program in the Republic of Croatia.

A3 welcomes a new member – The Center for Space and Innovative Technology

The Center for Space and Innovative Technology was established by the Sisak-Moslavina County in June 2020 with the aim of providing infrastructure and professional assistance to the space and innovative industry in the City of Sisak, Sisak-Moslavina County and the Republic of Croatia.

The center was established with the support of several secondary and higher education institutions, institutes, associations, companies and individuals dealing with the field of space and innovative technologies in the Republic of Croatia and abroad. The center is part of the project of the Regional Competence Center in the field of electrical engineering and computing, one of the five most important components of which is the field of space technologies.

Joining our Association will be a major contribution to the development of our space program.
